The owner was going to restore it for his wife, but nothing has been done to the body of the car, but it appears the interior has had the seats recovered and new carpeting added. It also has a 4-speaker stereo system with the player mounted in the glove box.
The body is what you see. It looks like the car was once blue and then repainted the white which is pictured. There is rust in various areas of the car including the floorboards and trunk.
The exterior chrome is in poor to fair condition. The top appears to have been replaced at some time and looks in good shape. It is manual and not power.
Electrically, the exterior lights work including turn signals and brake lights. Not sure if all the interior lights work. A new old stock gauge cluster is included with the sale.
The suspension has not really been touched except for the brakes. New lines, shoes and master cylinder were installed.
The Valient does start and run as you can see in the video. It does blow black smoke when it first starts.
It is a great starting point for someone who wants to restore a rare Plymouth convertible.
