The rebuilt 400 Pontiac engine is stock with 10:1 pistons, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold 750 cfm Holley double pumper carburetor PowerMaster alternator, and HEI ignition.
New gas tank and fuel lines were added as well as a new power brake system with discs front and drums in the rear.
Additional work performed by the current owner includes the transmission being rebuilt, carburetor, paint correction, air shocks, and power steering.
The color of the Firebird is a 2-stage urethane in Champaign silver metallic. Please note, it is not perfect and there are some griding marks in the paint as well as some cracking (view photos). The top is in good condition and works smoothly (see video). All the glass is in good condition, but not original (it appears the passenger side window was replaced, no Firebird emblem). Exterior chrome is good.
Exterior lights and turn signals appear to function normally.
The interior was redone in the original style upholstery and shows well. No evidence of broken seams or tears. Factory speedometer/odometer, fuel, and temperature gauges work. An aftermarket temperature gauge was added. The 4-speaker stereo system works and includes a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player.
The stock Firebird suspension appears to have had some of the bushings replaced by the prior owner. Wheels are 15” Weld Wheels and the car rides on General tires which are approximately 4 years old, measuring 195/60R/15 front and 225/60R/15 rear.
The Firebird drives and performs smoothly as well as starts easily. It is a great classic muscle car to take for a drive or attend local cruise-in’s.
