Beautiful and professionally built 1966 Chevrolet Nova SS Pro Street powered by a 496 cu. in. Chevy Big Block and backed by an N24 Auto Gear 4-speed and Dana 60 rear differential. This Nova was completed approximately 12 years ago and is street driven regularly to car cruises and shows throughout the Mid-Atlantic area. Total mileage since completion is about 5,000 miles. Body & Paint:
Real SS Nova body painted a single stage PPG urethane Arctic White. New rear quarter panels, door skins, NOS front fenders, new hood, tail panel, and deck lid. Tubbed rear wheel wells were stretched 6”. All the chrome is either replated or purchased new including bumpers stainless trim, taillight housings, and grille. All glass is new.
Engine & Transmission:
GM 4-bolt main 454 block bored and stroked to 496 cu. in. Runs on pump gas with 8:1 forged pnistons, Crower forged crank, Manley rods King Bearings, Melling high volume oil pump, Cloyes true roller timing chain, Comp Cams solid flat tappet cam with .629 lift and 306 duration.
Cylinder heads are GM aluminum with 2.25” intake & 1.88” exhaust valves, and Comp Cams roller rockers.
Topping it off is a polished Victor Jr. intake manifold and Holley 950 cfm carb, aluminum water pump, Power Master starter and alternator, Lemons headers, Spin Tech exhaust, MSD ignition, Ron Davis radiator with SPAL electric fans.
Transmission is an Auto Gear Pro N24 4-speed built by Ed Hartnett, hydraulic clutch, Hurst Super Shifter, Lakewood blow proof bell housing, McLeod Pro Street Clutch, and flywheel.
Chassis:
S&W Race Cars back half with ladder bars and QA1 coil over shocks, 12-point roll cage, Dana 60 differential with 4.10 posi-traction gears and 35-spline Moser axles, Wilwood Pro disc brake system, Spicer 1350 driveshaft. Chris Alston Chassis Works front end with rack & pinion steering, tubular ‘A’ arms, and QA1 coil over shocks.
Crager wheels front and rear 4×15 & 14×15. Tires are ProTrac 5.60/15 front and 33×21.50 rear.
Fuel & Electrical Systems:
Jaz 16-gallon fuel cell, Magna fuel Pro 500 fuel pump & filter, dual optima batteries, Flaming River master cut-off switch. Wiring harness by American Auto Wire.
Interior:
New stock Nova SS interior including dashboard, door panels, and headliner. Jaz bucket seats are non-adjustable and have lap belts. AutoMeter gauges including tachometer, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltmeter. Factory fuel gauge works with fuel cell. Custom audio sound system with cassette player. Tilt steering column by Ididit. Speedometer and odometer do not work.
