It is a very reliable street machine and cruiser which represents a by-gone era of Dodge muscle cars. Selling for personal reasons.
Engine & transmission:
Rebuilt 1970 340 cu. in. V-8 with a .480 lift hydraulic flat tappet cam, Holley 650 cfm carburetor, Weiand intake manifold, electronic ignition, custom aluminum radiator, headers, 3” exhaust with Dyno Max mufflers.
New gas tank and fuel lines were installed.
The TorqueFlight transmission was rebuilt and uses a 3,000 rpm stall converter and shift kit.
Paint & Bodywork:
Overall, the Coronet body is solid and original. Mileage shows 60,000+, but no evidence of ‘bondo’ or replacement panels. 1970’s vintage Mopar hood scoop. You can see side trim holes under the red striping on each door. Finish is a ‘Hot Rod’ flat with a gloss black top. All glass is in good condition and goes up and down easily. Outside lights function as well as the wipers. Chrome bumpers are painted and the rear taillight section shows some pitting.
Interior:
New ‘Legendary’ upholstery on front and rear seats. New carpeting and headliner. Original dash is in good condition. Factory speedometer/odometer, fuel gauge, and turn signals work. Owner added aftermarket Oil pressure and water temperature which work, voltmeter is not connected. Original door panels appear to be in good condition.
Suspension & Differential:
Stock Dodge Coronet suspension with new ball joints and complete brake system (drums on all four corners). Air shocks were added in the rear. 8.75” rear differential housing new 3.55:1 ring & pinion with posi-traction. Cooper tires measuring 225/70R/15 up front and 255/60R/15 rear on stock 15” wheels with ‘dog dish’ hubcaps.
