  • This Challenger was not just used to promote General Tire (a subsidiary of Continental Tire Co) but also other companies including Meguiar’s Wax.
  • The car arrived new at the Petty’s Garage in its original color of black and was then taken apart and painted Richard Petty Blue with the matching legendary “43” on the doors. There is even some overspray left on the passenger side window.
  • In addition to the custom painting, Petty’s Garage also applied their expertise on the 392 cu in 6.4L Hemi V8 and the chassis of the Challenger to match the racing heritage of Richard Petty. Going from the stock 485 h.p. to 700 h.p. & 675 #ft. of torque at the flywheel!! Below are the specifics on the modifications.
  • It should also be noted that the current owner visited the Petty Garage in 2023 and had him sign the dashboard as well as have photos of Richard behind the wheel of this Challenger. There is also a signature by Tim Smith of the TV show “Moonshiners” on the inner trunk lid.
  • Total mileage is 9500. It has always been garage kept.
