V-8 rated at 240 horsepower and backed by a 3-speed Torque Flight automatic transmission, and 8.25” 3.55:1 Sure-Grip rear differential.

Everything is “Numbers Matching” and it is 1 of 9,312 Dodge Dart Sport 340’s built for 1973.

The owner ordered the car new on 1/11/1973, took delivery on 4/9/1973, and has only logged 10,500 miles!!! Almost 98% of the car’s current condition is the way it was when he picked it up at the Paramus, NJ Dodge dealership. This includes the Dark Silver Metallic paint, black upholstery with bucket seats, engine, driveline, trim, undercoating, and even a factory “dent” in the rear came in/on this Dart in 1973!! It’s like a time capsule. The Dart is in unbelievable condition.

Additionally, the owner ordered a “Direct Connection” performance package, which was a dealer installed option, but did the installation himself to retain the original parts. This package included the Edelbrock LD 340 intake manifold and chrome valve covers.

The only changes made were to replace the exhaust system with a factory original reproduction about a year ago, an Edelbrock carburetor, Sun tachometer and oil pressure guage, tires, wheels, and the gloss black paint on the scoop. The owner has always changed out the fluids in the engine, rear, and transmission each year to keep the car fresh.

Front tires are B.F. Goodrich 195/70R/14 and rear are Goodyear 245/60R/14.

Everything works on the car from the power steering, power disc brakes, AM/FM stereo radio, to the A/C. You will note that there are no heater lines, and the inlets and outlets are blocked. This was done to save the heater core since the car never when out in any inclement weather. Once reconnected the heater should work fine.

Besides retaining the Dart in a climate-controlled garage, the owner saved all the original paperwork, window sticker, dealer brochures, and his original title!! He also has just about every part he replaced / removed on the car including the following parts, which are still in very good to excellent condition.

Carburetor (rebuilt a year ago) & intake manifold; Rally wheels with caps and rings, fan belts, steering wheel, heater hoses, touch-up paint, air filter, valve covers, and charcoal cannister.

This is a true “find” for any Mopar collector and the great thing about the Dart is it runs as well as it looks.
