It has many features a ‘traditional’ ’32 Ford Hot Rod would have including a 4” dropped axle, 4-wheel disc brakes (non-power), and an Outlaw Performance frame. The ‘Coupe’ was built to be a reliable and attention getting Street Rod that anyone could ‘jump into’ and drive. Selling for personal reasons.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Body & Paint:
1932 Ford ‘Henry Steel’ body, louvered hood, and running boards. Outlaw performance fiberglass front and rear fenders. The paint is a 2-stage urethane in a 90’s GM red. Windows roll up and down easily and the front windshield ‘pop’s’ out. Also, the rear window goes up and down electrically. Paint is not perfect but shows well (see photos). Trunk opens with a release on the driver’s side. Support struts for the trunk need to be replaced, they do not hold it up.
Engine & Transmission:
1980’s vintage 350 cu. in. Chevrolet V8 boasting about 300 horsepower with a mild hydraulic cam, Edelbrock intake & carburetor. HEI distributor and ignition, Sanderson ‘block hugger’ headers with dual exhaust. Battery is located in the trunk. Thermostatically controlled electric fan and Walker radiator keep the ’32 cool.
Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission with a shift kit.
Chassis:
Outlaw Performance frame with a Superbell chrome 4” dropped axle, TCI stainless steel 4-bar, and polyurethane bushings are up front. Flaming River steering box. Polished 1980’s Corvette independent rear differential with 3.25:1 open gears and new polyurethane bushings. The 4-wheel disc brakes are non-power and maybe in need of adjustment. Pedal is ‘spongy’. Wheels are polished ET aluminum wheels with a ‘Tri-bar’ cover and measure 14” front and 15” rear. Tires are Michelin 165/14 front and 235/75/15 rear.
Interior:
A tweed material theme is used throughout on the “Tea’s” bench front seat, door and kick panels. There’s an AM/FM/Cassette player mounted in a console above the seat with rear mounted speakers and a power antenna. No evidence of tears or broken seams. Carpeting is a short, napped beige. All the Stewart Warner gauges function (Speedometer/odometer, water temperature, fuel level, voltmeter, and oil pressure). The GM tilt steering column includes the shift selector.
