Up for sale by a private party is this beautiful, low mileage, one-owner 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500. It has only 5,300 miles and has always been garage kept, never driven in poor weather or raced. It has been meticulously cared for and treated to some minor upgrades to improve performance and handling.

- The paint is the factory original “Vista” blue clearcoat metallic with white stripes and it looks as good as the day the owner picked it up at the Ford dealer. The owner added (2) hydraulic hood struts so the factory hood support is not needed and doesn’t scratch the paint. Of the approximate 8500 GT 500’s produced that year only about 10% were blue.
- All the original paperwork accompanies the car including the window sticker, dealer order form, and manuals (which are still in their sealed package).
- The interior is the stock black vinyl with leather accents. The owner is a non-smoker, and the upholstery is in excellent condition. No broken seams, tears, or rips. This GT 500 also came with the optional “Shaker 1000” sound system with the subwoofer mounted in the trunk area. The only issue the sound system has is the CD player does not work, but a “new in the box” factory stereo & CD unit is included with the sale (see photo).
- The 5.4L supercharged V8 boasting 500 h.p. and 480 #/ft of torque with a six-speed manual transmission behind it. The only change was a K&N air filter (original air box included). Other changes include a Magnaflow ‘cat-back’ exhaust system, 3.73:1 gears (still posi), one piece driveshaft, aftermarket rear lower control arms for better handling, and the car was professionally tuned on a dyno by Woodbine Performance. The horsepower is around 500 to the rear wheels.
- All original parts removed from the G.T. 500 are included with the sale (driveshaft, exhaust system, 3:31 gears, lower control arms, and handheld tuner).
- The Shelby runs and sounds great and has no issues at all. The owner is selling it for personal reasons.
