DESCRIPTION:

Very original, numbers matching, and low mileage (37,400) 25^th Anniversary 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indianapolis Pace Car powered by the 220 horsepower L82 Chevy V-8 and backed by a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. This particular Corvette came with the AM/FM/CB radio option (UP6). Current owner purchased the car in 1984 and has always kept it in a climate-controlled garage.

• BODY & PAINT:

Original lacquer black and silver paint and lettering. It does show some ‘patina’, but no cracks in the body, glass, or T-tops. All exterior lights function including headlights, turn signals, wipers, etc.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:

Numbers matching and stock L-82 305 cu. in. Chevy V8 with the high-performance cylinder heads and higher lift cam to boost the horsepower to 220. The only noted change is an updated A/C compressor which does blow cold air. The Turbo 350 transmission has not been modified in any way. Starts easily and runs strong.

INTERIOR:

Original silver leather interior. Upholstery on the seats appear in good condition. Plastic hinge covers are missing or broken. T-top locks are in place. All gauges function including the AM/FM/CB radio. Owner’s are non-smokers.

CHASSIS:

Stock FE7 Gymkhana suspension with Cooper radial raised letter tires measuring 255/50/15 on all 4-corners.
