PLEASE NOTE….ALL BIDS AND OFFERS MADE ON THIS VEHICLE WILL FOLLOW EBAY’S PROTOCOL OF PURCHASING. THIS MEANS ONCE A BID OR OFFER IS MADE OR ACCEPTED THE BUYER AGREES TO PURCHASE THE CAR IN “AS IS” CONDITION.
- The Pontiac has been verified by the Pontiac Historical Society (PHS) which includes a copy of the dealer invoice when the car was delivered to King Pontiac in Gathersburg, MD. Factory options include AM/FM/8 track player (does not work), tilt wheel, A/C (which does work), rear window defroster, and power windows.
- The owner purchased the Trans Am through an auction approximately 20 years ago, shortly after it had been restored with new paint, refurbished interior, and new suspension components. Within the past 5 years the SD 455 cu. in. engine was rebuilt and retains the original Rochester 4-barrel carburetor and HEI ignition. The transmission was serviced, and a new steering box and power steering pump were added.
- The exterior shows well but has some age. There is evidence of some cracking around the front and rear facia. Some of the original paint in the door jams is starting to flake too. There is also a dent in the lower passenger side front fender from a ‘stray’ soccer ball and the left front fender shows some gapping. There does not appear to be any ‘bondo’ or patch panels. All of the glass is in good condition and the power windows function normally.
- All exterior lights work including the turn signals, wipers, and horn.
- It appears that when the interior was done certain areas were dyed or painted white such as the plastic side panels. Also, a new headliner was installed, but it is starting to sag. The dash pad and instrument cluster are in very good condition and all of the instrument’s work except for the clock.
- The Trans Am starts and runs strong and draws attention wherever it goes.
- Owner selling for personal reasons.
