- The Nova appears to have had one exterior repaint in the original Pewter silver using a 2-stage urethane. The only noted bodywork is the replacement of the left rear quarter panel and just along the edge of the right rear fender well. The new 4” cowl hood is steel. There is no evidence of rust or bubbling anywhere. Overall, on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being perfect, the paint is a 4.
- All the glass and outside chrome is in very good to excellent condition (new front bumper and grille). Electrically, everything works from the turn signals to wipers. You will also note “Halo” lights around the headlights.
- In the power department, no expense was spared. Starting with a BLUEPRINT 383 Stroker motor putting out in excess of 430 hp and 471 #ft. of torque on pump gas. The owner decided to do away with the multiple fan belts and opted for a polished March Serpentine belt system for the Vintage A/C & heat and power steering. A Holley 750 cfm double-pumper carburetor with an electric choke ride on top of the aluminum intake and an MSD distributor handles the ignition. A heavy-duty aluminum radiator with a thermostatically controlled electric fan keeps the Chevy Nova running in the 185 degree area on the hottest summer days.
- The Turbo 350 transmission has been treated to a shift kit and a 2800 rpm to 3200 rpm stall converter. The rear 10-bolt differential is mounted on new springs and houses 3.47:1 gears with an Eaton posi-traction unit. Hotchkis rectangular frame connectors, Lakewood style traction bars, and power brakes handle keeping the B.F. Goodrich 235/60R/15 tires on the road.
- The stock Chevy Nova interior is in excellent condition and left intact. New Corbeau bucket seats were added for comfort along with a B&M Mega shifter to handle the Turbo 350. Besides the stock gauges (which all function) Auto Meter tachometer, oil pressure, and water temperature gauges were added. For music, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player with 4-speakers was added.
- The Nova starts easily, runs great, and draws attention wherever it goes. There are no disappointments.
- Owner selling to build something else.
