Originally, the Camaro came in ‘Butternut’ yellow with a black convertible top. It now sports a bright red enamel paint job with a white top, an RS spoiler and front stripe. There does not appear to be any replacement panels on the body. There is some exterior rust, but the floor and trunk pans seem solid. Exact age of the paint is not known.

Another change to the Camaro is the transmission. The factory 2-speed Powerglide was apparently changed over to a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic at some point. Even the shift selector was changed.

The black interior is in very good condition and features factory power windows and remote side view mirror. The factory Strato bucket seats are original as well as the factory console.

The front and rear suspension are stock, but a Delco adjustable air shock unit was added at some time with the adjustment knob and gauge under the dash and air compressor in the engine compartment. It does not function. It rides on B.F. Goodrich 225/70R/14 radials with factory style Rally wheels.

Additionally, the car came with power brakes, discs front and drums on the rear.

It is not known whether the engine was ever rebuilt but it seems to start and run fine with no visible signs of burning oil. The power top and windows appear to operate too (see video).

The factory radio did not come with the purchase of the Camaro, but the original ‘face plate’ is included.

This Chevy Camaro would make a great starting point for someone looking to restore or modify a classic 1960’s convertible.

The owner is selling for personal reasons.
