1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible is for sale by its third owner.
This car is part of an estate which is being sold and the information presented was given to me by the relatives.
Apparently, the car was purchased approximately 8 years ago and it had already been painted the current white enamel paint you see pictured. Originally the car was black. Options include power steering and power brakes.
In the way of bodywork, the car appears to be straight. Both rear quarter panels appear to be solid, but there is a spot on the top right rear which might have been worked on. The top was replaced and is in excellent working condition. There is a boot for the top and it is white.
The chrome and stainless appear to be original and show some scratches and pits.
The interior is original and shows some age, but all-in-all is in good condition. All of the gauges work including the AM radio. The clock does not. The interior courtesy lights in the doors and under the dash work fine too. Carpeting does not show too much wear.
From what the family has told me the engine was rebuilt before the car was purchased. No idea who did the work. It is a 390 c.i. 300 h.p. engine with a holley 4 barrel and the car is a ‘Z’ code. The three-speed Cruise-o-matic shifts fine without any slippage. There is and exhaust leak which you can hear in the video. The car does not over-heat and it does not leak coolant. but there is a possible oil leak in the front of the engine as evident with the oil on the oil pan. All of the windows go up and down normally and some of the weather stripping has been replaced.

Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage.
