This 1937 Chevrolet Gasser is a rare opportunity to own a true piece of Nostalgic Drag Racing “Gasser” history. You are viewing a 1937 Chevrolet Coupe which has been in storage since 1971. Yes, this is a “Barn Find” of the highest magnitude.
The information presented below was collected by a close friend who assisted in the build of the car back in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. The estate for the owner is selling due to the lack of interest.
The owner purchased the car in 1961 (per the title) and completed the transition to a Gasser Drag car in 1970. The Chevy made 2 passes at Cecil County Drag-0-Way in 1971, both of which were totally out of control due to traction and a poorly designed suspension. It was then sent to S&W Race Cars (in 1971) and had a complete rear ladder bar suspension installed which included Watts linkage and an Oldsmobile rear differential. He then parked the car in his garage and never touched it again!!!! Why? No one knows!!!
Listed below are the specifics on the car. Please note that the engine is NOT frozen and does turn over (manually).
The car has NOT and WILL NOT be started. It is sold AS IS!!!!
There are some rare and dated modifications (such as the Anderson Industries original fiberglass one-piece front end) which many people may desire when building a current day Nostalgic Drag Racing Gasser.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for since 2002 and maintained a close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage. These are private individual owners who do not want to deal with the public and all of the endless phone calls, “Tire kickers”, and other nonsense that goes on when trying to sell a car. They just want someone to sell it!!
