You are viewing for sale an original 1958 Austin Healey 100 6 BN6 which appears to have had a total frame off restoration approximately 19 years ago. The current owner purchased the car in 2003, which was approximately 3 years after the restoration and drove it to local shows, occasional cruise-in’s and put less than 2000 miles on the car over a 4-year period. Unfortunately, for the past 11 years, the car has been sitting in his garage and it has not been started or driven.
The Austin does appear to be numbers matching and is powered by its original, but rebuilt 2.639 L, 117 bhp, in-line 6-cylinder with dual SU carburetors (air cleaners are missing). Transmission is the stock 4-speed as well as the rear differential.
Wheels are the stock painted spoke items with chrome knock-offs. Matching spare in trunk.
It is evident the car has not been subject to much in the way of moisture because the chrome, wiring, frame, interior and paint do not show any cracking, mold or pitting.
The paint is a single stage urethane red which needs only to be cleaned slightly and polished. There is no visible rust, bubbling, or cracks.
The interior and exterior chrome was re-done or replaced and is still fantastic.
The wiring seems to be new and in very good condition throughout. Electric was not tested.
Interior is done in black vinyl with red piping to match the car. There is no cracking or dryness on the dash or seats. The carpet was re-done and still looks good. The top and tonneau cover were apparently part of the restoration because they look new as well.
There is also a white hardtop included which is not pictured. It too is in good condition and does not look like it was ever used.
If I had to rate the car (using a scale of 1-5 where 1 is perfect and 5 needs restoration), it would be a 3+ in its current condition, but once roadworthy a strong 2.

Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage.
