DESCRIPTION:
All steel 1940 Chevrolet Standard Deluxe Coupe Street Rod powered by a 350 cu in /300 horsepower Chevrolet V8, backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and a ’57/’64 Chevy rear differential. This Chevy was originally owned and built by Joe Troilo who purchased the car initially in 1974. The current configuration of the Coupe was completed in 2011 and has logged approximately 14,700 miles attending cruise-in’s and local car show events. The current owner has had it for approximately 5 years and needs to sell it for personal reasons. Overall, the car looks great, runs fantastic, and draws attention wherever it goes. No disappointments.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Body & Paint:
All steel 1940 Chevy Standard Deluxe body painted in a 2-stage Maroon urethane. Exterior chrome and windows are in excellent condition. All turn signals and brake lights function. Third brake light is located around the license plate. Due to the age of the build, there are some bubbling issues in certain areas (see photos).
Engine & Transmission:
350 cu. in. Chevrolet crate motor, 300 horsepower, Edelbrock carburetor, Walker radiator w/Cooling Components fan, Sanderson headers, and MagnaFlow exhaust system. Transmission is a rebuilt 700R4 with shift kit.
Chassis:
The front end has a 1969 Chevy Camaro subframe mated to the stock frame with Mustang II rack & pinion steering and tubular ‘A’ arms. Rear suspension uses a Chassis Engineering Components leaf spring system with a 1957-1964 Chevrolet rear differential with 3.55:1 (open) gears. Power brakes with vented discs on the front and drums rear. Wheels are 17” American Racing polished Torque Thrust with Goodyear Eagle GT 215/75R/17 front and 235/65R/17 rear.
Interior:
Custom designed white vinyl on the seats and door panels. Driver’s seat is 6-way power. Car was completely rewired using a Ron Francis harness, Vintage Air A/C & heat (working), Sony AM/FM sound system with 6-CD changer and power antenna (antenna not working). Gauges are by VDO, including speedometer/odometer, tach, water temperature, oil pressure, fuel, and voltmeter. The tilt steering column is by Ididit.
