1938 Chevrolet Master Deluxe 2-Door sedan ALL STEEL, Street Rod/Hot Rod in a beautiful burgundy metallic with black fenders. Power comes from a 350 cu. in. Chevrolet engine with Vortec heads, backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, and 9” Ford rear. This is an older build but shows very well, starts easily, and runs great. A red and black vinyl custom interior with bucket seats compliments the exterior. Odometer indicates it has only been driven 2100 miles in approximately 10 years.

BODY & PAINT: The 2-tone paint is a basecoat/clearcoat urethane on an all-steel body showing only a little age with a few chips from opening the hood and the occasional stone. Nicely stamped 6 rows of louvers on the hood. Doors open with ‘poppers’ (emergency release cable on driver’s door) and the trunk opens with an electric motor. Headlights are LED while taillights are custom made. Exterior chrome is in fair condition. There are no apparent chips or cracks in the glass, and the side windows are power. Wipers are for show, there is no wiper motor.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION: It appears to be a stock 350 cu. in. Chevy motor with Vortec heads and recently had a new 600 cfm Edelbrock carburetor & intake manifold added (receipts included). Other modifications include an MSD distributor and ignition, chrome alternator, HD radiator with thermostatically controlled fans (with override switch), headers, and a new exhaust system which exits to the passenger side.

Rebuilt and stock 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with lock-up converter and a Lokar floor shifter.

CHASSIS: Stock ’38 Chevy frame with added cross members for the transmission. Mustang II front end with rack & pinion steering & tubular ‘A’ arms, 4-wheel (non-power) disc brakes, 9” Ford differential with 3.08:1 open gears mounted on leaf springs and lowering blocks with a HD sway bar. Wheels are by Chip Foose with 18” front and 20” rear. Tires are Potenza radials measuring 215/45R/18 and 255/35/20. Rear tires tend to rub slightly when making sharp turns.

INTERIOR: Custom vinyl upholstered door panels, headliner, and Toyota bucket seats in excellent condition. No tears, rips, or broken seams. Kenwood Bluetooth sound system. Auto Meter gauge cluster with Speedometer/Odometer, fuel level, voltmeter, oil pressure, and water temperature. All gauges function normally. Custom wooden steering wheel with chrome tilt column. There is no heat or A/C.

OVERALL: This is a great running and fun ’38 Chevy Street Rod that shows well and could easily manage a long trip or a cruise to the local drive-in. Doors close easily and poppers function with no issues.
