1979 Chevrolet Corvette L82 coupe powered by the original numbers matching 350 cu in V8, but backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Car was purchased about 15 years and 4,000 miles ago. Total actual mileage on the car is 48,000. This C3 has had many upgrades and improvements when it was rebuilt including racing bucket seats, new suspension parts, ‘real’ Vintage Hurst wheels, dipped side pipes, new A/C system, fuel-injection, and metal flake paint.

BODY & PAINT: Midnight blue metallic urethane paint with metalflake added, then lightly clear coated to retain a ‘textured’ appearance, and finally a white accent ‘center stripe’. There are some areas of bodywork which include the doors and fenders.

Glass is in excellent condition and the power windows operate easily. The original and rare blue tinted T-tops are also in very good condition.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION: Original 350 cu. in. engine with FiTech fuel-injection, Accel electronic ignition, and HD Aluminum radiator with dual thermostatically controlled electric fans. Side pipes were treated with a “Hydrographic” finish which is resilient to heat and gives a ‘smoked’ appearance. New A/C compressor charged with R134 which blows cold air.

Rebuilt 700R4 transmission with shift kit and lock-up converter.

SUSPENSION: New front and rear suspension parts including urethane bushings, new half-shafts, and a composite rear spring. The 4-wheel power disc brake system is new, including a new brake booster. 15” Hurst wheels with B.F. Goodrich 225/70R/15 radial tires all the way around. No spare tire, cover, or jack.

INTERIOR: Reupholstered racing-style bucket seats with dark blue cloth center sections surrounded by white vinyl. Door panels were done in a similar pattern. New ‘White Faced’ gauges with blue LED backlights. Tilt wheel with power steering. Aftermarket AM/FM/CD player, power antenna, and faux carbon-fiber accents on console and door panels. Blue tinted dome light and trunk area lights.

SUMMARY: This is a great running and reliable C3 with an ‘eye-catching’ and unique paint job. There are areas in the paint where the clear is dull and the metalflake ran, but it was done for the effect (see photos). Electrically all turn signals, running lights, headlights, gauges, power windows, and wipers function. Please note there is no parking brake.
