  • This ’62 Corvette appears to retain the factory paint and interior (top was painted by a prior owner), there are some “age related” chips and cracks (see photos) but overall it’s in excellent condition.
  • What is of interest is this car has had the entire driveline rebuilt, including the engine, transmission, clutch assembly, rear differential, exhaust system, brakes, gas tank, and suspension components. Receipts are included.
  • The body shows no evidence of being in an accident and having any repairs. All the chrome trim, emblems, and glass are in very good condition with little to no pitting or scratches anywhere (see photos). Somewhere along this Corvette’s history the hardtop was painted white. There is a black soft top with all the bracing and latches that does have a tear in it, but a new top, in the box, is included.
  • The engine is the number’s matching 327/300, but when it was rebuilt GM aftermarket 2.02” valve aluminum heads with finned valve covers were installed along with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, and a new style Power Master alternator which looks like a generator. The original heads and intake are included. Everything else in the engine compartment appears to be left original including the Carter AFB carburetor, Harrison aluminum radiator, aluminum shielding, overflow tank, and tach drive points type of ignition.
  • The matching #’s Borg Warner T-10 4-speed was rebuilt as well as the rear differential housing the factory 3.55:1 posi-traction gears. A Hurst shifter was added too.
  • The interior looks very original and all the gauges function, including the heater/defroster. Even the emergency brake warning and flashing light works. An aftermarket AM/FM radio was added which looks factory. Only the clock does not work. The upholstery and door panels are in very good condition with no apparent rips or tears. Even the courtesy lights and wipers function. Clutch pedal pad was ordered.
  • The undercarriage is very clean and has had both front and rear suspension components replaced including brakes, shocks, and ball joints. The frame is solid with no rust or cracks. To retain the original appearance, bias ply white wall 6.70 x 15” tires and hubcaps are used.
  • Even the trunk retains the original Honduras Maroon paint, plastic mat, taillight covers, jack, and tools!
  • This Corvette is in many ways a “time capsule” by retaining the original paint, interior, and number’s matching driveline. It starts easily and runs great. An ideal addition to any early 60’s performance collection.
