Beautiful and professionally built 1964 Chevrolet Corvette ‘Resto-Mod’ built in 2015 and driven approximately 5200 miles since completion. Power comes from a 479 cu. in. Big Block Chevy motor and backed by a Tremec 5-speed and 3.73 posi-traction gears.

The body is that of a ’64 coupe with ’65 front fenders and a ’67 ‘Stinger’ hood which was modified by raising the front by 7” and back by 4”. Still retaining the rake of the ‘Stinger’. Both front and rear fenders were flared, and the hide-a-way head lights were opted out for permanent ones in the original grille area. The rear section was filled and smoothed to hide the exhaust and bumper exits. The color is a 2-stage urethane Corvette red looks to be in very good condition.

The 479 BB Chevy is treated to 10:1 forged pistons, Edelbrock aluminum heads, Edelbrock “Endurashine” high rise intake with a 4” spacer and a Holley ‘Scavanger’ 850 cfm carburetor. The cam shaft is a Comp Cams hydraulic roller with roller rocker arms. The ignition is by MSD with Hooker headers exiting to ceramic coated side pipes. The pulley set up is by March and the A/C unit is by Vintage Air (needs to be charged, compressor comes on, but air is not cold). Keeping everything cool is a HD custom aluminum radiator with thermostatically controlled fans.

The Tremec 5-speed transmission uses a McCleod HD clutch pack & flywheel along with a ‘blow proof’ bell housing.

The interior starts with C5 bucket seats and a welded in roll bar. Auto Meter gauges replace the original units with speedo/odometer, tachometer, fuel, voltmeter, oil pressure, and water temperature. Original clock does work. New carpeting and headliner compliment the black and red upholstery. Sirius radio was added along with power steering and power windows (passenger window does not work).

The suspension was redone with new HD sway bars front and rear, fiberglass single rear leaf spring, HD half shafts with safety loops, 4-wheel disc brakes (non-power) by Wilwood using 6 piston front calipers and 4 piston rear. 15” American Racing chrome wheels with 295/50R/15 Firestone rear tires and 235/60R/15 tires up front.

Since there is no choke, the BB Chevy is a little stubborn when it’s cold but idles smoothly once warmed up. This Corvette draws attention wherever it goes and has won multiple awards at local shows and cruise-ins. No disappointments.
