- The overall condition of the car is very good with very few chips or nicks in the paint. No evidence of cracking, even on the front ‘nose’. Owner also added a removable rear window. 1973 was the first year this feature was eliminated. The car starts easily, all the gauges function including the clock, and it’s a strong performer.
- According to the owner, he purchased the car in 1981 when it had about 30,000 original miles, drove it occasionally, and in 2000 did a ‘frame on’ restoration. This included repainting the car to its original factory Orange Poly, refurbishing the gauges, replacing suspension parts such as the shocks, bushings, and brakes.
- Owner believes all of the original bonding strips are still in place and the Corvette was never in an accident.
- The 350 V8 Chevy engine had new valve guides installed along with a mild hydraulic cam, Edelbrock carburetor, and Dynomax mufflers.
- The interior is all original and in excellent condition. Owner added a JVC AM/FM/Cassette player which does work. When the speedometer and tachometer were re-calibrated, the odometer was reset to zero, so the mileage since its restoration shows about 5,400.
- The B.F. Goodrich 225/70R/15 tires are about 10 years old and show no deterioration since the car was always garage kept.
