Up for sale is this 1979 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible in triple white with only 17,000 ORIGINAL MILES. Documentation including the warranty book, window sticker, operators’ manual, and service records, accompany the VW and appear to verify the mileage.
This VW was originally purchased in Santa Barbara, California, and spent most of its life there until 2015 when the current owner bought it at a Mecum Auction in Harrisburg, PA. when it showed a little over 8,000 miles.
Power comes from the original 1600 cc / 48 horsepower fuel-injected 4-cylinder ‘flat-motor’. Shifting is handled with the original transaxle 4-speed.

The Super Beetle starts easily and runs great. The original Pirelli spare tire, wheel, jack, and lug wrench are included, too.
The body of this convertible has no bondo or patch panels. All the sheet metal and glass are original. It has had one exterior repaint, but all the floor pans, inner fender wells, and doors retain the original Alpine white. There appears to be no rust or bubbling anywhere, outside of a few chips, the paint looks great (see photos).
Additionally, the interior, top, carpeting, and door panels are original to the car too. All of the factory gauges work, even the AM/FM Blaupunkt radio. The clock and emergency brake light do not work.
The EMPI gloss black 15” wheels are the only non-original items on the VW, and 165 x 80R x 15 radial tires help in the handling department. The original wheels are not included.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for more than 20 years and maintained a 100% rating during most of that period. Approximately 12 years ago, I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles on the internet without them leaving the garage.
