Here is a rare opportunity to own a very original 2-owner 73,000 mile ‘C’ code (289 c.i. / 200 hp.) convertible 1966 Mustang.

Present owner purchased the car in 1972 from the original owner and used it for daily transportation for several years. It was always garage kept and never driven in snow or salt and used primarily for weekend drives. The owner treated the car as his “pride & joy” from day one. A very meticulous individual.
In the early 1990s, the Mustang went through a restoration which included new Springtime Yellow paint, top & boot, new exterior chrome bumpers, and taillight bezels, an inspection of the drive line, wiring, etc.
When the car was repainted, the only major bodywork performed was the repair and replacement of the left rear quarter panels. The floors, torque boxes, doors, fenders, and trunk lid are original, and the car has never been in an accident.
The interior seats, dash pad, carpeting, and door panels are ORIGINAL and in fantastic condition. No evidence of broken seams or tears. All of the factory gauges, courtesy lights, as well as the shift indicator function normally. Even the AM radio works, except the channel selector, does not move.
After the restoration, the Mustang was only used to attend AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) events and the occasional cruise nights. It was otherwise kept covered in the garage.
The 289 V-8 and C4 3-speed automatic transmission have never been apart, but they have had routine service performed over the years. There appear to be no leaks, the engine does not burn oil, and the transmission shifts smoothly.
Recently (8/2022), the Ford was inspected mechanically and had the following work performed:
Complete tune up
Cleaned fuel tank and repaired fuel line.
Checked the entire brake system and replaced the front shoes.
Inspected front and rear suspension and replaced both front upper ball joints.
Flushed the cooling system and replaced the thermostat & gasket.
The Mustang starts and runs great. Purchase includes 5 of the original 14” spinner hubcaps.
Please note that the power top does not currently work. The owner never put it down after it was replaced because he did not want any creases in the material. All of the connections are good, and it could be a ground issue, not sure.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for more than 20 years and maintained a 100% rating during most of that period. Approximately 12 years ago, I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles on the internet without them leaving the garage.
