One-of-a-kind show car, 1976 Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna S-3. The owner-builder chose this particular body style because of its dominance during the mid-1970’s in NASCAR, particularly Cale Yarborough who drove car #11 and won the 1977 Winston Cup Series ahead of Richard Petty.

This Laguna S-3 underwent a total frame-off restoration and is now powered by a 1974 era, 454 c.i. Chevy Big block treated to all new internals, a mild hydraulic cam, and the new Holley “Sniper” fuel injection. Every nut, bolt, fastener, piece of glass, etc. is either new or reconditioned.

The Project was completed a little more than a year and less than 1000 miles ago. The car appears flawless (see for yourself in the photos and video). The awards this Chevy has won for its class and best paint competing in both indoor and outdoor car shows are like a third-party endorsement to the workmanship and quality.

Receipts and manuals for the work performed accompany the car.

Here are some of the numerous upgrades. 4-wheel Wilwood power disc brakes, Griffin aluminum radiator, handmade shifter, and console for the Turbo 350 automatic transmission (yes, it is not a manual trans.). See specifics below for the complete build.

Body taken off the frame and stripped.
Frame media blasted and painted.
2-Stage 1970 GM Frost Green metallic urethane paint
The only replacement panels were the rear quarter panels. All others are original.
Molded ‘Trans-Am’ functional fender “air extractors”
Custom made “stock appearing” rear bumper which has been both narrowed and drawn closer to the body for a more uniform appearance.
New windshield and back light. Original side glass.

Mild hydraulic flat tappet cam
Holley ‘Sniper’ Fuel Injection
Griffin Aluminum radiator
Serpentine belt system with GM performance A/C compressor.
2 ½” exhaust system with FlowMaster mufflers.
New gas tank and fuel lines.
Refurbished Turbo 350 transmission w/ Shift kit

New stock upholstery, re-furbished swivel bucket seats, carpets, & door panels.
Custom dashboard with Auto Meter fuel level, water temp., oil pressure, and voltmeter.
Custom floor console & shifter for Turbo 350 automatic
Clutch pedal and brake pedal are welded together and function as one large pedal.

Front and rear sway bars
10-bolt rear differential with 3.05:1 Eaton Posi-traction gears
Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes, stainless steel lines
Air shocks in rear
BBS wheels 18” front & 20” rear w/Cooper 275/40/18 & 275/40/20 rear tires.
