Original 1955 Chevrolet 210 4-Door powered by the #’s matching 265 c.i. /180 h.p. Chevy V-8 and Power Glide 2-speed automatic transmission. Total original mileage is approximately 67,000 miles. Only 1100 since the restoration was completed over a year ago.

The Chevy was purchased from an estate 3 years ago where it had sat for approximately 20 years in a garage under a cover. According to the family it was repainted about 25 years ago in the original factory color of gray and had a white top added.
After all the undercoating was scraped off the ’55 showed solid floors, body mounts, rocker panels and inner fender sections. All of which were sanded and painted. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being perfect I would put the paint at a 6, and the body at an 8. No rust or ‘Bondo’ are apparent, but there are some small scratches, see photos.
Exterior chrome is original and shows little to no pitting. Front and rear bumpers as well as the emblems are new.
The interior was completely redone with new foam, original factory patterned cloth and matching colored seat belts. New carpeting was added along with a sound deadener.
The factory gauge’s function normally and the speedometer/odometer, cable, and gears were replaced (original item is included showing actual mileage). The original radio was replaced with a factory-appearing unit but has AM/FM/USB/Bluetooth capabilities. All the windows go up and down smoothly and there appears to be no bubbling or ‘fogging’ on the glass.
The original 265 Chevy V-8 and Power Glide transmission were cleaned and internally inspected. A list of new parts includes Gas tank, lines, fuel pump, carburetor, water pump, radiator, heater core, hoses, tune-up, gaskets, sections of the wiring harness, and ‘U-joints’ for the driveshaft. The oil bath air cleaner was converted to a filter type. Only leak is very slight from the rear main seal.
Besides shocks and bushings power brakes and the necessary hardware were added using discs up front and drums on the rear. The ’55 rides on new Goodyear Assurance radial 215 x 75R x 15 tires and 15” American racing wheels. Original wheels and hubcaps are included.

Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage.
