ofessionally built 1979 Chevrolet Malibu 2-door sedan “Street Machine” which is ‘Street legal’ and can be driven to local cruise spots and car shows; or taken down the ¼ mile at a blistering 150 mph in 9-seconds!

Currently on its second owner who has only had it 3 years and only logged 150 miles on the odometer due to other interests. The original build was completed approximately 10 to 12 years ago and used primarily as a weekend cruiser and occasionally taken to the track.
The engine was machined and built by D & F Performance in Berlin, N.J. using all high-quality parts (see below). The estimated horsepower at the current boost level of 18 psi is 1000 to the flywheel!!
The Turbo 400 transmission was built by Precision Transmissions using an ATI 9” converter and manual valve body with an approximate stall speed of 4000 rpm.
The suspension uses Strange Engineering adjustable shocks on all 4 corners, aftermarket front ‘A’ arms, disc brakes up front, and a complete ‘drum to drum’ Strange Engineering 9” Ford rear differential with 3.50:1 gears and a spool. Upper and lower control arms are aftermarket performance items as well as the welded-in roll cage.
A 14-gallon fuel cell is located in the trunk along with the battery to help keep the weight distribution on the rear. Mickey Thompson 295 x 55R x 15 Drag Radials help the Malibu handle on dry pavement and to ‘hook’ at the track.
The interior is all business with 2 light-weight racing seats, Grant GT steering wheel Autometer Tach, Water Temp, Oil Pressure, Boost, and Air/Fuel Ratio gauges to monitor the engine and other vitals. B&M shifter with a line lock and trans brake assist the shifting and launch duties when at the track.
The exterior black paint is in excellent condition and believed to be original to the car. A fiberglass hood along with front and rear bumpers help cut down on the weight. Always garage kept and not driven in inclement weather.
The Chevy is easy to drive, has no overheating issues, and draws a crowd wherever it goes.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for since 2002 and maintained a close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage.
