As many Ford enthusiasts know, these Mustangs were custom built by Ford’s SVT (Special Vehicle Team) and only offered as a specially ordered Mustang.
The power comes from a specially built, intercooled and supercharged Ford 4.6-liter DOHC (dual overhead cam) V-8 putting out 8 psi of boost and creating 390 horsepower and 390 #ft of torque at the flywheel and exiting through a stainless steel exhaust system. It is backed by a T-56 Tremec 6-speed transmission and a 3.55:1 traction lok differential.
The suspension was specially designed for the Cobra by SVT and included 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, 17”x9” alloy wheels and 275/40ZR/17 Goodyear F1 tires.
Everything functions from the power windows, A/C, to the Mach 460 radio with 6-CD changer.
No modifications have been made; it is all original.
Documentation includes a dealer and exterior color brochure, order invoice, “Terminator” Cobra ‘block buy’, window sticker, letter from Ford SVT (Special Vehicle Team) certifying the car, and more.
Additionally, NEW, and never used COBRA floor mats and an XL COBRA men’s jacket are included.
