Sold & transported from Chesapeake Beach, MD to Los Angeles, CA.  This 1988 Ferrari 328 GTS (Spyder) is one of approximately 6,068 removable-top examples produced for the U.S. The car is finished in Grigio Metallizzato (gray metallic) over beige leather, and power is provided by a fuel-injected 3.2-liter DOHC (dual overhead cam) V8 rated at 270 horsepower and paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The Grigio Metallizzato color is rare for Ferrari and only approximately 6% of this model came in this color. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, concave 16″ Speedline five-spoke wheels, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, a gated shifter, power windows, air conditioning, and a Pioneer CD stereo.

NO TRADES

  • The present owner purchased the car from the original owner in the February of 1999 with approximately 31,000 miles and it now shows 51,000. The Carfax is clean, it has never been in any accidents, always garage kept, and it has a clear MD title. Sale includes all service work performed, U.S. owner’s manuals, and tools.
  • PLEASE NOTE….ALL BIDS AND OFFERS MADE ON ANY VEHICLE(S) WILL FOLLOW EBAY’S PROTOCOL OF PURCHASING. THIS MEANS THAT ONCE THE BID OR OFFER IS MADE OR ACCEPTED THE BUYER AGREES TO PURCHASE THE CAR IN “AS IS” CONDITION.
  • Please note the Ferrari ran great up until recently when after sitting in the garage for approximately 18 months it will NOT start, even with a new battery. The engine is NOT frozen or locked up. According to a mechanics diagnosis it may need a new starter.
  • When you turn the key, all of the gauges function, the Pioneer stereo, power antenna, A/C fan, exterior lights, and fuel pump all work, but when you move the key to the “start” position nothing happens.
  • Additionally, there is a slight oil leak, and it needs the major belt service.
  • The beige leather interior is in good condition without any broken seams or tears, but it does show some fading from the sun. The arm rest section has also deteriorated some.
  • The exterior paint is original and shows very well. There is evidence of age on the front edge of the facia and some chipping along the lower areas of the rocker panels (see photos). A small “flex” crack is evident just above the left side of grille on the front hood (see photo). Also, someone did not observe the “jack points” on the car and a slight impression was left on the underside of the right lower rocker panel (see photo).
  • The 328 is being sold due to personal reasons.
