  • It was ordered new by the brother of the current owner on 6/16/1986 in black with a charcoal interior. Other options included the 5.0 L (305 cu in) V8, rated at about 170 hp, A/C (does work), limited slip rear differential with 3.42:1 gears, sliding rear window, tilt steering wheel, dual gas tanks (16 gal each), chrome rear step bumper, HD radiator and transmission cooler.
  • The exterior of the truck was repainted in 2011 at 45k miles with the two front fenders and inner fender wells being replaced, new windshield, weather stripping, headliner, and front & rear bumpers.
  • Recent work includes replacement of the vent window assemblies, servicing of the 4-wheel drive system, and new tires.
  • The exterior of the truck is in great condition, especially the bed. The reason being a plastic liner was used for all of its time on the road. There are no dents or rust in the bed. The only area on the truck which is showing some age is the driver’s door (see photos).
  • The interior is original and like new. There are no tears or broken seams in the upholstery, all of the factory gauges function and there is an upgraded Alpine AM/FM/CD player added. The only imperfection appears to be a crack in the dash pad.
  • The stock 305 V8 and 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission start and run smoothly. As recent as this 9/2024 the GMC received a complete tune up including new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. The only noticeable “age” issue is when the truck is first started, a small amount of blue smoke comes out the exhaust indicating it needs valve seals. Otherwise it performs well and runs great.
  • Included with the sale is a truck cover, Penda-bedliner, documentation of the service performed on the GMC, owner’s manual, and service manuals.
  • The owner doesn’t want to sell the GMC, but has too many toys and this one has to go.
