1979 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible powered by the VW 1.6 L ‘opposing-cylinder flat 4’ and backed by a 4-speed (manual) transmission. Actual mileage shows 91,680. I am the second owner since the ‘Bug’ was restored 3 years ago. Total mileage since rebuilt is approximately 2,000.

The VW was repainted in white enamel, has a custom cloth interior and carpeting added, and a color matching convertible top with boot. Additionally, an Alpine AM/FM/CD 4-speaker stereo system was installed. There are no tears, broken seams, or rips. Owner is a non-smoker.
Although, when this VW was new it came with fuel-injection, it was converted to a carburetor (34-PINT-3) when the engine and transmission were rebuilt about 4 years ago. It starts easily and runs well.
The body appears solid with little to no ‘bondo’, but it should be noted that rear sections of the floors were replaced (see photos). There does not appear to be any rust or bubbling coming through, but the restoration is starting to show some age here and there (please view all photos).
Everything electrically appears to work from the headlights to the wipers and stereo.
Recent work performed includes a new carburetor, tune up, and EMPI shifter.
The stock suspension is in good condition and the 165/60R/15 Nexen radial tires are dated 2023. The aftermarket wheels are “Spirit of America”.
