Completely restored and numbers matching 1972 Plymouth Duster 340 with automatic transmission and power steering.
This restoration was featured in Hemmings publication of Muscle Machines in March of 2018 as their “Restoration Profile”. The writer of the article told the owner that it is the finest ‘A’ body car he had ever seen. Since its completion in 2016 the Duster has won an AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) Junior Champion award, Sr Award, and a Grand National Champion award. Scoring a perfect 400 points!!
The owner has the original documentation for the car dating back to the original purchase in 1972. Including the build sheet, paint code doc, dealer key fob, and original manuals.
When the Duster was purchased new in ’72 both the current and original owner were (and still are) good friends. The first owner drove the car for about 15 years putting just over 80,000 miles on the car. Then it was parked in his garage for the next 25 years with plans for eventually restoring the car. After ‘bugging’ his friend for 5 years, the current owner convinced him to part with the Plymouth so he could restore it. That was in 2014. Two years later, you see the car as it is now. In many ways, the car is better than new. An example would be the fit and finish of the paint and body panels.
Every nut and bolt were replaced or refinished. Both rear quarter and inner fender panels were replaced. As well as the rear taillight valence. All of the other body panels are original. The paint is a 2-stage urethane in the original B5 Blue.
The engine is the original 340 which was totally rebuilt including a slight .030” over bore and a new Comp Cams hydraulic camshaft with .279/.296 @ .050 duration to add a little ‘lumpiness’ at idle. Otherwise, the engine is stock, including a rebuilt Thermoquad 4-barrel and cast-iron exhaust manifolds.
Anything and everything is either new or rebuilt. Including the entire interior, headliner, gauge cluster, shift console, wiring harness, 727 Torque Flight Transmission, 8.75” ‘sure-grip’ 3.23:1 rear differential, new springs, front end parts, and the list goes on and on. The pictures speak for themselves.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for since 2002 and maintained a close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage. These are private individual owners who do not want to deal with the public and all of the endless phone calls, “Tire kickers”, and other nonsense that goes on when trying to sell a car.
