This Cobra is being sold off as part of an estate and not much is known about it. It is a real Torino Cobra that came with a 351 cu. in. Cleveland 4 barrel rated at 285 hp. As you can see in the video, it does start and run, but it needs work to make it street worthy. The brakes do not work and the fuel system needs to be cleaned out.
Nothing is known about the engine except what you see. It has a Holley 750 cfm carburetor, stock ignition, and cast-iron exhaust manifolds with dual exhaust. It could be the original motor.
The exterior paint appears original, but there is no ‘warranty tag’ on the door to verify the original color. The shaker hood was an option for 1971. All the glass looks to be in good condition, and the windows do operate fairly easily. The floors look original and in fair condition, no evidence of holes. There is rust so please view the video and photos carefully.
The interior looks complete and in fair condition. The door panels have the ‘Cobra’ emblem. The aftermarket gauges appear to function, but it is not known if the 61,000 miles are original.
The chassis and suspension appear original too. The frame appears solid with surface rust. The brakes are disc front and drums rear, non-power. It does have power steering.
Please note the Torino is being sold as a “non-running or drivable ” car so a trailer or transporter is needed.
