In 1981 this C3 was repainted in the original color of Brands Hatch Green (983) using a 2-stage urethane, had a new top installed, new carpeting, and reupholstered in the saddle colored leather (420). As far as the current owner knows this Corvette has never been in an accident and all the panels are original. This is a very original C3. Over the years regular maintenance was performed, and the Corvette was driven to special events. The remainder of the time it was kept in a climate-controlled garage.
The Saddle interior appears to be in good condition. The factory gauges function except for the clock and radio. Also, the indicator lights on the console do not work.
Recently new ‘Gold Line’ radial 245/60/15 tires were added.
The Corvette starts easily, brakes firm and runs strong. Items of note include the vacuum for the wiper door does not work and if the car sits for a period (couple of months) ‘blue’ smoke will come out of the exhaust when the car is first started and ‘cold’. Once it is up to operating temperature it disappears.
Selling for personal reasons.
