You are viewing for sale a two-owner, same family, 71,000-mile Chevy Malibu Convertible.
The current owner purchased it approximately 25 years ago from his grandmother, who bought it new in 1971. He still has the original registration card. It was then the original Mulsanne blue with a black top. It was driven unchanged for about 10 years before being repainted to the current black.
Over the past 15 years basic maintenance was performed including new shocks, gas tank, automatic transmission lines, brakes, and exhaust system. Owner added SS door panels and aftermarket gauges.
The Malibu came standard with factory A/C (DOES work), power steering, disc brakes up front, drums in the rear, 350 cu. in. / 270 h.p. Chevrolet V-8, and Turbo 350. The top was replaced about 3 years ago, and a new convertible top motor was installed. As the video shows it operates like new. The convertible boot is also included.
The car starts, runs, and drives fine; paint is showing its age including a dent in the left rear quarter panel. Radio DOES work as well as all of the factory gauges; Chrome is fair; the glass is excellent and windows operate as normal; floors appear solid, including the trunk. Frame shows some surface rust. I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for since 2002 and maintained a close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage. These are private individual owners who do not want to deal with the public and all of the endless phone calls, “Tire kickers”, and other nonsense that goes on when trying to sell a car.
