Here is the opportunity to own a rare, numbers matching, and award-winning vintage 1970 Triumph 650 Tiger ‘R’ (road model). The motorcycle had a no expense spared restoration performed by Baxter Cycle in 2012 and then was refreshed again to its current show/better than new condition in 2017.
No detail was left untouched including the ‘dealer optioned’ and balanced Akront flanged alloy wheels with stainless steel spokes. The Triumph rides as smoothly as it did in 1970 and comes with 2 kick stands (one is the leaning style and the other is a ‘pull up’). Approximately 90% of the parts used in the rebuild were NOS. This includes the ‘Triumph’ branded seat.

Pain-staking detail was employed when applying the ‘Spring Gold Avocado’ metallic 2-stage urethane paint which is flawless. Even the width of the ‘Tiger’ stripe on the gas tank is the exact measurement as the factory. All the outlining on the striping is hand-pinstriped.
The rebuilt numbers matching 650 cc 2-cylinder V-Twin starts and runs better than new (see video). Compression ratio is 9:1; rear sprocket is 52 teeth; the Reynolds chain is perfect and not stretched; the Amal carburetor is the original item, and the 4-speed synchro-mesh transmission shifts smoothly. There are NO LEAKS, EITHER OIL OR GAS.
Since the restoration in 2012 less than 50 miles have been logged on the Triumph. The present (and third owner) has trailered it to several National European Motorcycle events and placed first each time. Two examples are shown in the photos.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for since 2002 and maintained a close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage.
