Sold and transported from Newark, DE to Lakeland, FL.
DESCRIPTION:
1970 Ford Mustang Fastback powered by the original and rebuilt 302 cu. in. Windsor V8, backed by a Top Loader 4-speed and 8” Ford rear. This was a father and Son project which was completed in the mid to late 1990’s and has only logged approximately 6500 miles since then. This is NOT a Mach 1 but a nice and reliable street car. Since the work has been done to the car garage has been kept and the fluids have been changed regularly.

BODY & PAINT:
The Mustang was originally maroon and was taken apart when it was painted white enamel. There are welded in lower rear quarter panels and some bodywork in the doors. This is not a “show car”. Sorry no Warranty tag on the door.
The hood scoop, painted stripes, and trunk spoiler were added and the turn signals in the scoop work. All exterior electrical items such as turn signals, headlights, and wipers function. All the glass appears to be in good condition and windows go up and down easily. Undercarriage was treated to rust preventative.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:
Rebuilt stock 302 cu. in. Ford Windsor V-8 with a mild hydraulic cam, headers, 2-barrel carburetor, M/T Valve covers, long-tube headers, points type ignition, power steering, FlowMaster mufflers with dual exhaust and Mach 1 tailpipe tips. New gas tank and fuel lines.
Rebuilt Ford Top Loader 4-speed with Hurst shifter and stock clutch pack.
INTERIOR:
Stock seats were reupholstered (front & rear) and new carpeting was added. Dashboard is in good condition and the factory indicator lights and gauges function. Clock does not work. Aftermarket radio AM/FM/CD player works. The headliner is in good condition.
CHASSIS:
New front end including ball joints and ‘A’ arm bushings, (4) shocks, tie rod ends. Power steering unit was rebuilt. New power brakes with disc front and drums rear. Stock 8” rear differential with 3.23:1 (open) gears. There are (5) 15” Magnum 500 wheels (one for spare) with B.F. Goodrich 225/60R/15 tires all the way around.
SUMMARY:
Great driving Mustang which can be enjoyed by anyone who likes a 70’s Mustang. Paint is in fair to good condition. Interior shows well with no tears or broken seams. Engine is a good base 302 for modifications, but the clutch does appear to have a hot spot on the flywheel. Occasionally you will feel a ‘chatter’ when starting out. The car is fun to drive. A 4” Autometer tachometer is included with the sale as well as receipts for the work performed.
