Here is a rare opportunity to own a restored and numbers matching 1970 Chevrolet Corvette LT-1 (350 c.i. / 370 h.p.), 4-speed in its original color of Marlboro Maroon. This car was produced in February of 1970 and is one of only 1,287 LT-1’s produced during the year. This was Chevrolet’s first small-block engine produced with a solid lifter cam since 1965.

A total “frame on” restoration was completed just over 20 years ago and only 2000 miles have been logged on the odometer since then. Original mileage shows on the odometer as 93000.

After close inspection, all the ‘major’ components such as engine, cylinder heads, intake manifold, transmission, etc do match the car and its build date. One of the only items which do not match is the Holley 3310-4, 750 cfm carburetor. The factory 4550 series 850 double pumper was not on the car when it was purchased. Listed below are the numbers taken from the car.

The Corvette runs well even on today’s premium gas and running the factory 11:1 compression ratio. The factory gauges and indicator lights appear to function normally as well as the headlight doors. The M21 close-ratio Muncie transmission shifts smoothly and without any issues.

Body and paint are in excellent condition and show very little evidence of being driven. There is a small chip on the front edge of the hood (see photos) and the front passenger side lower bumper guard does show a little rust. Glass is also original and in very good condition except for 2 scratches on the passenger side. The frame is solid throughout and the interior is in excellent condition, except for a small hole in the driver’s seat (see photo).

A couple of options this car was ordered with include a 4.11 Posi traction differential (G81), power windows (A31), and an AM/FM Delco radio (which works) (U69).

The Vette did NOT come with power steering and of course A/C was not an option on this model. It does have power brakes (disc front/drums rear).

Please note there are no documents or receipts for the build.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items since 2002 and maintained close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage. These are private individual owners who do not want to deal with the public and all of the endless phone calls, “Tire kickers”, and other nonsense that goes on when trying to sell a car. They just want someone to sell it!!
