Beautiful no expense spared rotisserie restored 1970 Chevelle SS 396 tribute. Car was completed in 2017 and has been driven less than 500 miles attending local shows and cruise events. As you can see in the photos it is as fresh and finished on top as it is underneath.

Power comes from a period correct Quadrajet fed 1969, 396 c.i. rebuilt to the specs of a 1970 350 h.p. big block (casting # 3969854) and casting date of J22 9 (October 22, 1969). The Turbo 400, 3-speed, automatic transmission was also totally rebuilt including a factory converter and a shift kit. The rear differential is a 12-bolt posi-traction unit with 3.31:1 gears.

With regards to the body, new vinyl top and trim, new fenders, cowl hood, door skins, quarter panels, and passenger floor sections were added, and the body is laser straight. The Cranberry red paint is a 2-stage urethane with painted black ‘SS’ stripes. All exterior chrome and emblems are new.

The suspension was built to the same specs of the F-41 performance package which came on all SS 396 Chevelles. Everything underneath is new including the gas tank and fuel system, power steering, disc brakes (disc front & drum rear), sway bars front and rear, exhaust system, front suspension and even period correct Goodyear GT Polyglass tires mounted on 15” SS wheels.

The interior uses an SS dash with a floor mounted console shifter and bucket seats. Door panels were not changed out to ‘SS’ items. All of the gauges function normally except the clock. Radio is an aftermarket item. New carpeting and headliner were also added, the seats appear to be original Malibu items (not to this car) and were not recovered.

This Chevelle SS 396 gets attention wherever it goes, performs like the traditional muscle car and is hard to distinguish from a real SS, even to a trained eye.

PLEASE BUY WITH CONFIDENCE

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for since 2002 and maintained a close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage. These are private individual owners who do not want to deal with the public and all of the endless phone calls, “Tire kickers”, and other nonsense that goes on when trying to sell a car. They just want someone to sell it!!
