This Road Runner has not been driven for about 3 years. It does start (new battery) and will drive, but the car should be gone over. For example, the brake system has a leak and makes it difficult to stop and the power steering pump leaks. Most of the wiring harness appears to be original.
The 30+ year old enamel paint does show some age (see photos), but overall the car is fairly solid. There is body work in both rear quarter panels and some ‘bondo’ in the lip of each rear wheel well. The fiberglass hood is an aftermarket item. Exterior lights work and the glass is not cracked or broken. Chrome is in good to fair condition.
The interior looks good and the factory gauges and lights function (speedometer/odometer; fuel, ammeter, turn signals). The aftermarket oil pressure and temperature gauge work. Seats and door panels look good, no evidence of tears or rips. The driver’s side of the bench seat needs new foam.
Notes in the paperwork indicate the engine has 11:1 pistons, a mechanical cam, 516-cylinder heads with aluminum roller rockers, electronic ignition, 8 qt oil pan with a Hemi sump, Hooker headers, radiator was enlarged to a 3 row, new exhaust system, and 3.91:1 Sure-Grip rear differential with air shocks.
Wheels are vintage Cragar’s with B.F. Goodrich radials measuring 215/70R/15 up front and 225/70R/15 in the rear.
Selling for personal reasons.
