In 2007 this car won a coveted “Platinum Award” at the International Chevrolet Show in Hagerstown, MD. Out of a possible 1000 points, this car scored 981 and was chosen as the “Finest Camaro in the World”. Once you view the video and photos, you will see why this car is a multiple show winner, a pleasure to drive, and one that draws a crowd where ever it goes.
This Camaro project started in 2001 as a Colorado, “rust-free”, original SS 396. It was immediately shipped to Charlie Sparks in North Carolina where it was totally stripped down to its shell and media blasted to the bare metal. Charlie’s shop then applied the PPG Rangoon Red on a rotisserie. Once the paint work was completed the Camaro was shipped to Rob Sunde in Silver Spring MD for the final assembly.
Since the car’s completion in 2004, it has only been driven 3000 miles!! Everything on this car is new, from the 502 c.i. /502 h.p. Chevrolet engine and Tremec TKO600 5 speed to the Vintage Air Front Runner A/C. Nothing was left untouched.
All documentation of the work performed is included with the car.
