1968 Pontiac Firebird powered by the original and numbers matching 350 c.i. / 265 h.p. V-8 and backed by a 2-speed Power Glide automatic transmission. The Firebird is all stock and has 89,000+ original miles and was purchased new in Harrisburg, PA. The trim tag indicates it was built the first week of October in 1968 in the Lordstown, Ohio plant. Color is the original Ash Gold Metallic with a black Stratobucket interior. No other history is known about the car. It is being sold as part of an estate.

Factory options include AM/FM radio with a power antenna (radio works but antenna needs lubrication to go up and down smoothly), A/C which does blow cold air and the compressor comes on (could still be R12 refrigerant), and power steering.
The exterior of the Pontiac was apparently repainted, but not the door jams. The only visual evidence of body work is above the left taillight. No other areas show any bondo or replacement panels. The vinyl top is in excellent condition. The floors look to be original and in very good solid condition. No evidence of rust or rot.
The interior is original with the factory gauges functioning normally along with dash lights. Windows go up and down easily and the glass appears original. 8-track player was probably added by the original owner, and it is not known if it works because of the availability of tapes.
The 350 V-8 starts easily but does have an exhaust manifold leak. A new stock exhaust system looks like it was recently added. The only known changes to the car by the current owner are the intake manifold and Rochester 4-barrel carburetor. Otherwise, the Firebird is original.
Electrically, the headlights, turn signals, backup lights, wipers, hi beams seem to function. One of the rear brake lights does not work.
