Up for sale by a private party is this beautifully restored numbers matching 1968 Oldsmobile 442 convertible. The 442 is on its third owner who performed all the work to restore the car to its current condition (in 2007). The car is NEW throughout. The interior was totally redone from the seats to the wiring, to the rubber molding.
The fuel system is all new from the rebuilt numbers matching Rochester Carburetor to the new fuel tank.
Brakes are new as well including all the lines, hardware, and brake booster.
Since the completion the Olds has been driven approximately 5000 miles and everything works as it did in 1968. The car was kept numbers matching except for the paint which is a Nissan Luxo blue.
Otherwise the top and interior colors match the way it came from the Lansing MI factory.
The stock 400 cu. in. Olds engine is original down to the Rochester carburetor (#29250NF0079). The transmission is also the original turbo 400 backed by the factory 12 bolt differential with a posi-unit.
