1966 Mustang Convertible ‘C’ code with the original 289 c.i. V-8 and matching C4 3-speed automatic transmission painted in Signal Flare Red with a black interior.

Total restoration completed 28 years ago which started by stripping the car to bare metal, welding in new torque boxes, new floors, and lower rear quarter panels.
All exterior and interior trim was replaced or refinished including the head & taillights, door handles, bumpers, and emblems. The only original parts retained were the windows, front windshield, and dash pad.
A new interior including carpeting, door panels, seat covers, wiring harnesses, refinished dash & gauges, shifter, and console. Recently a retro-fitted AM/FM radio with kick panel speakers were added. Everything works.
The power top and the mechanisms were replaced or refurbished and goes up and down easily (see video).
Suspension was redone to stock specs both in the front and rear including springs, bushings, brake system (drum), and rebuilt rear differential with 2.80:1 open gears.
In 2008 the 289 c.i. 200 h.p. Windsor V-8 was totally rebuilt using stock 9.5:1 compression ratio pistons, hardened valve seats in the cylinder heads, and a slightly more aggressive hydraulic cam. For additional performance a 600 cfm Holley carburetor, electronic ignition, aluminum radiator with shroud, and dual exhaust were added.
Since the engine rebuild, only 13,920 miles have been logged on the odometer attending local shows and cruise events.
Always garage kept and never in rain or snow since the restoration.
Included with the car are the original 2-barrel carb, intake, and air cleaner, along with 4 factory wheel covers.
Receipts, documentation, and photos of the car’s history are included with the sale.
As typical of any older restoration, time creates imperfections in the paint including several chips on the hood and rear taillight valence. As well as a little bubbling at the lower front corner of each door. (see photos and video).
The original color of the car was Sauterne Gold.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for more than 20 years and maintained a 100% rating during most of that period. Approximately 12 years ago, I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles on the internet without them leaving the garage.
