1966 Ford Fairlane 500 2-door hardtop powered by a rebuilt 289 c.i. Ford Windsor and backed by a Tremec 5-speed transmission.

The Fairlane was purchased from a dealer out of the Carolina’s approximately 5 years ago and the exact age of the paint and interior is not known. The current owner had the engine totally rebuilt (see specifics below), added the power brake system, and Jet Hot coated the headers and exhaust system.
The Ford’s body is straight and appears to have very little in the way of bodywork. The color is a Ford Red in a single stage enamel. Exterior chrome and stainless steel are in good to excellent condition. The only pitted areas are the chrome around the vent windows.
The interior is in excellent condition and uses a cloth or velour material on the seats and door panels. No broken seams or tears are evident. Factory gauges function normally and aftermarket Bosch tachometer with Autometer water temp, oil pressure, and voltmeter gauges help monitor the engine. Floor shifter is by Hurst.
The suspension is stock and the 8” Ford differential is running 3.50:1 open gears. Upgraded brakes are power with discs front and drums rear. Wheels are 17” American Torque Thrust with 245/45Z/17 Crusade radials on all four corners.
The Fairlane starts easily and is a strong performer. Owner has driven the car less than 1000 miles over the past 5 years.
