1966 Chevrolet Suburban Carry-all 2×4. Power comes from the original 283 c.i. V-8 and backed by its matching 3-speed manual transmission (on the column). It has been in the same family since 1969 and is garage-kept when it is not used. Total mileage is 113,000, and it does have factory power steering.

The body appears to be very sold with no obvious body work, rot, or rust holes showing. The original color was medium gold, but sometime in the early 1970s, it was repainted turquoise both inside and out.
The floors, body mounts, and frame are very solid. The only area which shows a patch panel is on the floor behind the driver’s seat. All of the glass is in good condition except for a small ‘star’ on the passenger side windshield, and the windows go up and down easily.
When viewing the undercarriage pictures, you will see the Chevy was heavily undercoated, and the rocker panels look very solid.
The bumpers and grille areas are in good condition and show no pitting.
Cowl hood scoop was, of course, not original but is securely held in place.
Tailgate and rear window operate easily. You will note there is only one tailgate arm.
The interior seats were redone at some point and look to be in good condition. No rips or tears. After-market gauges were also added.
I am selling this vehicle for an estate, so the history of the Suburban is not well known. Please note that this vehicle is being sold in ‘non-running’ condition because it has not been started in over 7 years. The engine is NOT locked up and does turn-over by hand.
This Carry-all would be a great platform for starting a restoration or hot rodding.
