Beautiful 1965 Mustang Fastback ‘A’ code 2+2 rotisserie restored using the original 289 c.i. Ford V-8, but with modern upgrades including a Tremec 5-speed and Classic A/C & heat which make it a true pleasure to drive.

The only original body panels to the Mustang are the top, front fenders, trunk lid, and hood. All of the remaining sheet metal was replaced with new reproduction items and welded in place by CJ Pony of Harrisburg, PA. These include the floors, firewall, cowl area, quarter panels, doors, inner fender wells front & rear, shock towers, and valance panels front & rear, and between taillights. The quality and straightness of the body is evident by the 2-stage urethane black paint also applied by CJ Pony. No rust or bubbling always garaged since completed.

The original 289 c.i. engine was rebuilt to the 225 h.p. specifications including a 4100 series Autolite Carburetor, ‘Tri-Y’ headers and a Pertronics electronic ignition.

Everything is new or NOS (new old stock) including the Pony seats, Dakota Dash, carpeting, headliner, and wiring. Everything works and receipts for most of the parts and work performed are included. See below for details.

Owner completed the 3-year project in 2013 and has only logged approximately 5600 miles on the odometer.

Selling for personal reasons. The only issue appears to be a pulley or fan belt ‘whine’ when the car is cold. It disappears after Mustang is at operating temperature.

Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage.
