Sold & transported from Purcellville, VA to Leesburg, VA.  Beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible ‘C’ code powered by the original 289 cu. in. V-8 rated at 220 h.p. and backed by its matching C4 3-speed automatic transmission. The Mustang retains its original Guardsman Blue exterior color, white top, and blue vinyl interior.

This Mustang has been in the same family for 50+ years after being purchased from the original owner in 1984. It shows only 68,000 original miles and less than 2,000 have been logged on the car since it was restored in 1997.

  • The only exceptions to when the restoration was done are the paint, bodywork, and top. This was performed in the late 1980’s and for it’s age still looks good (please view photos carefully). There appears to be not rust or bubbling coming through. The only body panel which appears to have been replaced is the lower left rear quarter panel.
  • The rear torque boxes and floors appear original and in very good condition.
  • The power top functions nicely and is in excellent condition. Please note, there is no ‘boot’.
  • The exterior chrome is believed to be original and in very good condition. The windows show no fogging or cracks.
  • The interior is original and shows very well except for a broken seam on the passenger seat. The carpeting, dashboard, shift console, and radio (which does work) are all original and look good. The ‘Rally Pack’ gauges with the tachometer and clock were installed, but never connected.
  • In 1997 the Mustang had the engine, transmission, rear differential, brakes, and suspension rebuilt. Receipts for the work performed are included.
  • Electrically, both the exterior and interior lights appear to function including the turn signals, wipers, and brake lights. The front ‘GT’ light bar is wired but does not work.
  • It starts easily, drives smoothly, and performs well. No disappointments.
