For sale by a private individual is this early production (May 1964) numbers matching 1964 ½ Mustang Convertible ‘D’ code (289 c.i. V-8 4-bbl rated at 210 h.p.).

Owner purchased the car in 1993 after it had been professionally restored by a shop in New Windsor, PA (pictures of the restoration are included with the sale). The Mustang was totally disassembled and had all new exterior panels welded in place along with new inner fender wells, floors, and shock towers. It has been driven approximately 2400 miles since it was restored.
The suspension, engine, and transmission were all rebuilt to stock specifications during the restoration. Additionally, the wiring, interior, carpeting, top (with glass rear window), boot for the top, and chrome were all reupholstered and/or replaced.
In 2011 the Mustang was refreshed by having new brakes and hardware added, water pump, dual exhaust, fuel pump, thermostat, 4 tires, tune-up including plugs, points, condenser, distributor cap, and wires, new chrome bumpers, rebuilt generator, new power steering pump, new exterior door handles, and the transmission was serviced. Records of the work performed are included.
Recently the carburetor was rebuilt and adjusted as well as the brakes were checked.
The Mustang starts easily and handles like a 1964 ½ Mustang. All of the interior and exterior lights work fine (turn signals, brake lights). Dash gauges, odometer, and courtesy lights work as they should, but the speedometer does not. A later model AM/FM/Cassette radio was added and works great. The original AM unit is included with the car.
The paint is showing its age with chips, scratches, and dings (see photos). The only apparent rust appears to be on the welded edge of the rocker panels and floors (see photos). Torque boxes appear solid.
This Mustang has been garaged since it was purchased in ’93, but needs a little attention to the following: Horn does not work; accelerator pedal spring needs to be replaced (pedal does not return); passenger side sun visor is broken, and the passenger side quarter window does not operate properly.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for since 2002 and maintained a close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage. These are private individual owners who do not want to deal with the public and all of the endless phone calls, “Tire kickers”, and other nonsense that goes on when trying to sell a car. They just want someone to sell it!!
