You will note this is a European version with the higher compression ratio engine (9.0:1) and right-hand drive. According to the owner there were less than 2,500 Series 1 E Type coupes built from 1961 to 1964.
It appears all of the factory gauges function, including the aftermarket radio. All interior and exterior lights, turn signals, wipers, and brake lights function too.
All the glass and stainless are in excellent condition and the windows roll up and down easily.
Please note the owner cut out any rusty sections of the car (from the doors, fenders, and floors) and replaced them with metal which was riveted in place and then sealed with a layer of body filler before being painted. It is by no means perfect, but as a “Driver’s” quality Classic, it looks great.
Mechanically, the Jag starts easily and runs smoothly. There does appear to be a slight rear main seal and gear box leak.
Included with the sale are the owner’s and shop manuals.
The Jag has a clear Maryland title.
