1963 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible in the original Champagne metallic gold and black top. This Futura originally came powered by a 170 cu in I-6, but now has a .030” 289 cu in Windsor, backed by a C4 automatic transmission and 8” Ford differential!!

The current owner purchased the car from the original owner approximately 6 years and 1,000 miles ago who had the car Ziebarted when it was new and the body appears very solid. It had one exterior repaint, in a 2-stage urethane, and most if not all the body panels appear original. The torque boxes and floors look fantastic. Power top functions and a matching ‘gold’ boot is included. Please note there is a small ‘chip’ in the windshield and there are a few age-related scratches (see photos).

The interior appears to be original and in excellent condition. Vinyl seats and door panels have no tears or broken seams. There is some ‘patina’ on the metal of the upper sections of the inside door panels (see photos). The factory wipers, lights, speedometer/odometer, fuel level, and temperature gauges function. Aftermarket water temperature, oil pressure, and voltmeter were added. Also, the AM/FM/Cassette player works.

The modifications performed by the present owner include:

• Rebuilt 289 cu. in. Windsor Ford engine with a mild hydraulic cam. A Holley 600 cfm carburetor sits on top of a stock intake manifold, and a Pertronics ignition has been added. Aftermarket aluminum radiator keeps the car cool. Dual exhaust exits the rear using Flowmaster 3 mufflers.
• Rebuilt C4 automatic transmission.
• 1965 Mustang 8” rear differential with 2.73:1 open gears
• New front suspension parts include bushings, tie rod ends, shocks, and ball joints.
• An ABS electric power brake system using discs on the front and drums in the rear.
• Borgeson steering box.
• New gas tank and lines.
• Hancook Optima 195/75R/14 tires with Ford wire wheel covers.

This Futura Convertible has won numerous awards at various Ford events and is a very reliable and fun car to drive. No disappointments.
